Gerald T. Billette
Originals

Gerald Billette was born and raised in Michigan.  He has a lifelong interest in art, hunting and fishing, and nature in general.  Largely self taught, Gerald received early training from Art Instruction Inc. under the supervision of the late Walt Wilwerding.   Gerald's engineering education and his interest in art opened up opportunities in the automotive industry, taking early retirement from a career of technical illustration, automotive design engineering, and executive management.  Gerald says that his "entry into art competitions has been limited to the Michigan United Conservation Club annual contest and local events.  After several years of painting as a hobby and selling occasionally to local collectors, I am now painting full time."  Mr. Billette's work is quite detailed (a feature that gives his work strength - Mill House Gallery), and he is productive completing 3 - 5 pieces each month.

"The images look great.  I didn't realize how good until I viewed them on my daughter's computer with a high resolution monitor and high powered graphics." Gerald Billette - about his art on these pages 5/99

'We just received the two Gerald Billette paintings we ordered and they are fantastic. We are amazed at the accuracy in both color and detail, truly expecting that the chipmunks might just come to life and jump off the wall at any moment. To top it off, Jerry is a real nice guy who seems to enjoy talking with the buyer." L.D. Iowa
