WE are pleased to introduce you to the wonderful works of Kathleen Elam a resident of California. Rather than repeating her achievements here, go to her page by way of the link above and read about her background, What captured our attention are her magnificent colorful photographs of hummingbirds. Just try to take pictures of these wonderful birds to appreciate her work! Hummingbirds seem to love her around their feeders and can be seen clinging to her clothes! We received today 4 new paintings from Don Thompson who resides in Arizona. All 4 are of birds , a Bluebird, a hummingbird,a sparrow and a Bald Eagle. the birds are all in interesting settings and the colors and size of the pieces are thoroughly pleasant. His Bald Eagle piece is dramatic as the bird has just taken off from a cliff in the Grand Canyon in Thompson’s state of Arizona. Don depicts the canyon wonderfully showing the depth and width of the canyon. Don recently sold the 5 paintings that were on his page that were not there for very long.
If you’d allow me to digress I have to say how much I enjoy looking at or browsing the works of art (originals or prints) my wife and I have collected over the years. They are a lot more interesting than plain walls. Our walls also have framed photos of our travels over the many years we’ve been together.that give us pleasure too. Our collection of art began with a small painting (8″ x 12″) and sizes have since grown.
