Annapaola del Nevo lives in Italy

I was born in 1969, after obtaining a diploma in Art, I did three year course on illustrations at Comics School in Milan. I worked as a graphic designer until 1995 for advertising agency when my profound sensibility towards Nature and wildlife bringing me to specialize in illustrations in this particular field. As free-lance illustrator, between 1995 - 2007 I have designed for many children's books both in Italy and overseas, i.e., U.S.A., Paris, London. My illustrations were recognized for five consecutive years (’98-’99-‘00-‘01-‘02)at "Bologna International Children's Book Illustrators Exhibition".
I’m a member of the Marwell International Wildlife Art society (MIWAS), from 2000 I’m taking part at the most important wildlife exhibitions in United Kingdom. This year I have been invited to take part at 15th Anniversary Exhibition of TWASI, been held at Nature in Art, Twigworth, Gloucester. One of my paintings has been exhibited at the 37th annual Exhibition of the “SWLA” at The Mall Galleries in London. From 2001 my paintings are exhibited regulary at the N.E.W.A. at Gordale, at “The Wildlife Art Society Annual Exhibition” at Banham Zoo in Norfolk. I won the “Gold Medal TWASI International Award” for my painting “White elegance” exhibited at the Wildlife Art Society International Exhibition held at Bristol Zoo in 2004.
Watercolours and gouache are the medium I favour, altought I like paint European wildlife, most of my work are focused around british wildlife. My favourite subject are birds and mammals and expecially british birds are my passion! I have painted some subject of fish and underwater life for posters and children’s books.
My great love and to feel admiration for the natural world are my inspiration. I’m very fond of magnificent and I find its is highest expression in the nature and in the animals.
In the nature allthings are so perfect and in it I find the perefection, the balance and the armony.
The natural world is inimitable and is for this reason I try to represent it most really possible. I like very much emphasized the particular and to search the details.
When I see a glimpse I feel the same emotion that a photographer lives.
My attention can has caught from a sunbeam or from a reflection and immediately I feel the feeling to stop that moment, so to can represent it and then to can live it again.
