Carol McArdle’s work has repeatedly received recognition, won grants and awards and is in collections around the world.As well as being a two time Birds in Art finalist at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, her paintings have been in the 2008 International Guild of Realism Annual Juried Exhibition;  the 2009 Paint America Top 200 and the Paint the Parks Top 100 which went on tour for a year around the USA. In 2011 Carol was invited to have two solo shows in two separate Museums and has been shown in New York, NY. She was chosen to be the 2008 Resident Artist of Delnor Wiggins State Park, Naples FL and was rewarded an art grant from LINC, Legacy Institute for Nature and Culture in 2012 in support of the Florida Everglades.As well as being featured in many Florida magazines Carol’s paintings have been in The American Art Collector Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine and The Western Art Collector.Carol was born in Jamaica but from age 3 grew up in Bristol, England. After high school she attended West Surrey College of Art and Design but left early to become mostly a self taught artist. In 1995 Carol moved to Southwest Florida and became an American citizen in 2001. She continues to paint the scenery and wildlife she and her collectors love that she finds in State and National Parks, Preserves and other undisturbed natural areas
