Frank Mittelstadt was born in 1956 at Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Frank graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1978 with an associate degree in Commercial Art. He reports, "Whether working in oils, acrylics, pastels or pencil, my deep reverence and respect for the natural world always surfaces in my art." Frank's work can be found in numerous private and corporate collections throughout America as well as on many series of collector plates by the Bradford Exchange.

* Judge's Award of Excellence - 1995 Minnesota Heritage Art Show
* 5th place in the 2004 Federal Duck Stamp competition
