Born
in 1960 and lived in various parts of the country as a child.
I was exposed to many kind of birds and thus began my affinity for them.
In 1981 I moved to Wisconsin and concluded my BA in Art at Concordia
University in 1984. In 1991 I opened my studio. At that
time I was woodcarving and entering many competitions. Some of
my awards include the Ward World Championship, The Greater Milwaukee
Woodcarving Championship and Ducks Unlimited Championship. After
a time I switched my ambitions to creating bronze sculptures.
My bronzes have been selected for the Miller Wildlife and the Wisconsin
Designer Craft Council exhibitions. Many of my sculptures reside
in private collections. Additionally, Andy has permanent sculptures
on permanent public display, one at the Milwaukee County Zoo's aviary
and the other at the new marina park in Port Washington, WI. During
2002-3 Andy completed and 25 foot tall piece of a native American indian
spear fisherman for the Tulalip Indian Tribe's casino's front entrance
in Marysville, Washington. Click here to see the permanent exhibit in
an early phase of completion. Spear
